Before Kauai, Magenta lived in San Francisco, earned her BFA in fashion and founded Magenta Designs. She sailed to the Garden Island in 1990, and requests for custom wedding dresses soon led her to working with brides and hearing about their plans.
In 2007 she received her license from the State of Hawaii to officiate wedding ceremonies. Since then she has conducted over 200 unions and coordinated many other wedding events, bringing her eye for design to every celebration.
